Issue mating trans to engine (LSJ)
Ok, so ive went though almost all of the posts and threads and cant find anything more than "make sure its lined up and the wiggle/twist until it fully seats/mates".
So i had to pull the trans to replace the clutch actuator/Slave cylinder. Not only were the 3 bolts holding that in all seized and fought me but now the trans wont completely mate. I am confident that the splines are lines up because if i grab and turn one of the wheel hubs the other side turns with it no issues there. I did have to support the engine with a jack from bellow but other than that i cant see anything else that would cause it to bind up an stop the trans from fully mating. Like i was able to re-attach the front and rear motor/trans mounts and still no luck with the trans going all the way in....please any help would be amazing.

How’re you installing the transmission with drive shafts in place? Maybe I am misunderstanding what you mean by spinning the hubs.
if I am not mistaken, take the drive shafts out and reinstall them once the trans is in place. You’ll probably have to refill the oil, but I think it’ll help alignment
edit: also, do you have the trans spacer on?

Yeah I had the drive side off but when I got the trans back up and the input shaft a little ways in the engine and somewhat secure I put it back in. I'll try to remove both of them. Yeah o fo have the trans spacer (the metal piece between the engine and trans that's only like 1/2" thick?
Any other tips would be a huge help

I wouldn’t think this would hold you up, but make sure splines are lined up between friction disc and shaft on motor.
having a good jack helps tremendously. Seems like you may not be In the us based on time you are posting, but if you are, the below link is for a harbor freight transmission jack that always made it super easy for me by myself. I have wrestled it with a buddy on a regular jack and that was a nightmare

The splines are aligned cause when I spin the flywheel the hubs move. So I'm getting stopped by something else. Will the clutch actuator not give a decent amount of resistance when installing the trans?

I feel dumb guys. So I figured it out. So apparently the passenger side motor mount is shot. The metal part that bolts to the engine and then through the rubber isolator, yeah that metal part has worked loose and slid through the rubber and caused the engine to be way to the passenger side and that some how prevented me from mating the trans. When I prayed the engine back to the driver side and put a piece of wood to stop engine from moving back to the passenger side the trans slipped right in. Makes me so mad and fell stupid at the same time. Thanks tor all the help though guys.

Glad you got it back together. Sucks your mount is shot, but that makes it perfect time to upgrade. OTTP makes great mounts for our cars. I have all 4 mounts. The engine mount on (passenger side) and the 3 transmission mounts. I love them all, and they are very well made.
