What if you ran starter fluid directly into your TB as you have somebody start it? That should resolve that question.

That’s a good idea. And the more I thought of it I probably don’t need to make that hard either lol. Could spray into evap port or make up air port on the intake tube…
Ended up replacing the dlc on Sunday.
Would like to inspect map sensor too. Could perhaps have some oil in it…

I bought a diesel Grand Cherokee today haha.
so this just become the race car build lol!

no no probably not haha.., though it should take a world of stress off my life. I can continue to enjoy this hobby as a summer toy, while not having to rush to put it back together by 8am next day.

Spent a little time on the car last week, Ended up testing injectors (not leaking), replaced injector cups, cleaned up area.

Found a tiny split in the hose feeding my map sensor, and further more went to clean up that aspect of the car too.
I had a hose, likely 1/8" ID coming off the manifold, then it was expanded up to fit a 1/4" T, on the left side the T it expanded up again for my Map sensor and on the right side of the T it was being reduced to feed my methanol controller. Just sooo ugly.

So my methanol controller now solely feeds off the tiny port on the manifold. And I'm trying to move my actual map sensor to the TMAP spot. I extended the wires and have a plan to fabricate a hold down bracket.

So yay! Much more enjoyable working on the car now that its a hobby car. Will rewire G105 soon just because why not, it's one of my last grounds. And with a working DLC I can try a different throttle body too.
Also Should probably try spraying fuel on cold start before it warms up anymore. Much happier with the car now, can't wait to drive it on a summer day soon!

today, i ended up reversing the changes I made to my Map sensor. Went back to a T on the manifold, however much much cleaner than before.
Probably wasn’t the best to pull map vacuum from a single intake runner vs in the middle of all 4.

removed my fuse box, swapped ecu. Cleaned up some grounds a tad. Swapped throttle bodies and I’m now just waiting for my laptop to boot and see what happens.
Found a magnet on the back side of my TB, that makes me super optimistic about this now lol!

Took longer than I expected but the moudles are playing nicely now. Changed the vin and did a crank relearn.

Recharged the battery.
Cycled the key a dozen times while logging, getting in and out of the vehicle, no codes so far.

Gonna take it for a drive tomorrow, too many beers have been had today lol.

Still no codes. Car seems happier.

but fuelling still seems to be acting weird. Running way too lean at wot, and STFT going crazy still.

I wonder, I have a new pump, I should try changing it and see if anything changes.
Only **** thing is my tank is full hahah

Update!

I drained my fuel tank this morning, poured it all into my partners SUV. Started to remove my fuel tank to swap fuel pumps.

Broke an evap clip by accident and was stuck on another one for what felt like hours. I decided to forgo being nice to evap, I would delete the system and keep moving on.

Before getting the fuel filter out, I noted ** my zzp high flow fuel filter was leaking at the outlet when I moved it around.
Got the fuel tank out, modified the carrier, swapped pumps, rerouted evap lines and reassembled.

spent hours trying to separate the fuel filter from its black fitting (from the zzp fuel line kit) , i could not.
I used my air compressor to blow the dirt out and then poured a little oil on it in hopes I could get a better seal going…

I put the fuel filter back on, went to start the car, nothing.

listened for the pump: much louder than stock (actually audible)

went to the fuse box, put a charger on the battery just to be sure, disconnected my fuel rail, manually jumped the pump power again and fuel was coming out, slowly, but the pump was working!
fuel level sensor seemed accurate, no codes, everything checked out.

went to the rear of the car, fuel filter was absolutely pissing on the ground.

So I’m gonna be ordering a new fitting and filter lol. And now I really wonder, will this be the winner?

I've had leaking gas before in my GT (it was a hole in the tank, the recall that I got denied for) and that's didn't mess with trims, just **** mpg and smells. Unless you had a ton of junk floating in your gas tank, I don't think this would help much, but clearly since it was already leaking it needed to be done.

Nooooo , Optimism ProfDNS!!

Fuel pump screen was all still there, looked like it was filled with dust and gravel. Obviously ripped that screen/ filter off and installed a new one..

I guess I'll find out this coming weekend. I'm hopeful. Fixed quite a few things in the past little while on the car.

IDK what else it could be after this..
Could try retuning it, though I don't think it needs it, the tune hasn't changed..

Mechanic friend of mine suggested Fuse Box.. at this point it's all just guessing though.

Or my final thought, could this all be traced back to replacing a dirty air filter with a clean one?

Yenno maybe I'll do that, I'll get it running with the new fuel filter and I'll get my tuner to take another look at it, see what he thinks about it.

The one thing I didn't even think of was the back of the MAF connector itself, and another thread talked about it for the fuel trims. I'm gonna look at mine and see if that is what's causing it.

Well, if your more skeptical on MAF still, maybe I should rewire G105 and see what happens. (as MAF is grounded there) it's my last ground so I might as well do it...

Rewired G105 and cleaned up ground strap.

Gonna get some more gas tomorrow.
Acquired a new fuel filter today, new fitting should be here Thursday.

Need to get a filter on the top of my vent hose.
——
Then if it’s still being mean, I’ll test the maf harness next
